Envolite

Precision light. Powerful insights. One OptiCore-MX platform from white light to advanced multispectral imaging.

ONE PLATFORM. ENDLESS POSSIBILITIES.

OptiCore-MX scales across five platform families

Common optics, modular engagement, and precision spectral control let hospitals and OEM partners specify the capability tier the list needs without changing the underlying architecture.

One optical architecture

A common high-efficiency optical engine across SCLA, TCLA, IRLA, IRLB, and IRLC.

Scalable performance

From standard white light through SpectraSure colour fidelity to ICG and multispectral imaging.

Precision spectral control

Engineered LEDs deliver narrow bandwidth with high radiance for fluorescence and multispectral work.

Modular and OEM ready

Flexible engagement models from optical engine through complete illumination system.

Future-ready innovation

Built for continuous advancement and emerging fluorescence and multispectral applications.

Key features

Console intelligence for every endoscopic list

7" intuitive touchscreen

Capacitive touchscreen for precise control, parameter adjustment, and real-time status visualization.

Cable detection interlock

Sensors activate the light source only when the fiber optic cable is securely connected.

Lightweight and portable

High-strength lightweight structure keeps total weight under 4.8 kg for easy portability.

Quiet operation

OptiCore-MX optical and thermal efficiency enables whisper-quiet operation below 45 dB.

Low heat emission

Optical coupling keeps the illuminated area cooler to extend fiber cable lifespan.

Smart control memory

One-touch save and recall restores last-used settings and stores preferred configurations.

Future ready

Platform architecture supports optional SpectraSure, synchronisation, and spectral sequencing packages.

Reliable excellence

50,000 h LED service life with fast turn-on, minimal heat generation, and consistent luminous output.

ICG fluorescence

ICG fluorescence imaging with IRLA

ICG dye injection, NIR excitation at 780-805 nm, and fluorescence detection combine in one dual-mode port for perfusion mapping, sentinel lymph node identification, tumour margin assessment, biliary and ureter identification, and tissue viability assessment.

IRLA delivers high excitation efficiency with less than 10 W IR power, an ultra-narrow excitation band for high signal-to-noise ratio, and LED-based reliability without laser complexity.

Multispectral imaging

IRLB and IRLC for perfusion and oxygenation mapping

665 nm and 850 nm channels align with optimal separation points between HbO2 and Hb absorption for tissue perfusion mapping, oxygenation assessment, oncology guidance, and quantitative imaging research.

IRLC adds a stabilisation emission channel at approximately 730 nm: 665 nm data, reference check, then 850 nm capture - detecting motion or signal inconsistency and improving reliability of quantitative analysis in dynamic surgical environments.

In detail

OptiCore-MX illumination architecture

OptiCore-MX is EPMD's proprietary LED-based illumination engine that powers SCLA white light, TCLA SpectraSure colour fidelity, IRLA ICG fluorescence, and IRLB/IRLC multispectral imaging on one shared optical platform.

ICG fluorescence with IRLA

IRLA delivers 780-805 nm NIR excitation for ICG-guided perfusion mapping, sentinel lymph node identification, tumour margin assessment, and tissue viability assessment from a dual-mode white plus IR port.

Multispectral IRLB and IRLC

665 nm and 850 nm channels align with optimal separation points between HbO2 and Hb absorption. IRLC adds a stabilisation channel at approximately 730 nm for more reliable quantitative analysis in dynamic surgical environments.

Frequently asked questions

Which Envolite configuration do I need for ICG fluorescence?
Specify IRLA for ICG fluorescence imaging with 780-805 nm NIR excitation and dual-mode white plus IR output from a single port. SpectraSure is available as an optional add-on.Source: Envolite June 2026 brochure
What is the difference between IRLB and IRLC?
Both deliver multispectral imaging at 665 nm and 850 nm. IRLC adds a stabilisation channel at approximately 730 nm that monitors reference stability between spectral frames for more reliable quantitative analysis.Source: Envolite June 2026 brochure
How quiet and portable is Envolite?
Whisper-quiet operation below 45 dB with total weight under 4.8 kg, cable detection interlock, and 50,000 h LED service life across the platform family.Source: Envolite product specifications
